Verona at District Height Offers Home and Community Amenities

District Heights is a community in Maryland's Prince George’s County. As a small incorporated municipality, District Heights’ population stood at 5,959 when the 2020 Census was taken. Like many towns in the region, this area was originally farmland.

Today, District Heights is home to communities such as the Verona at District Heights. The quaint community started with four patented tracts: Good Luck, the Levels, Magruder’s Plains Enlarged, and Offutt’s Adventure. While there is no recorded date of the town’s beginning, the town expanded to include 25 homes, a filling station and grocery store, a water tower, and a pump house.

By 1936, this area that began with four tracts was incorporated, and with government assistance, single family style houses were built to accommodate veterans who returned from the war as well as federal employees. Sometime later developers built apartments, including the Verona at District Heights.

The residential units are a part of a community of one, two, and three-bedroom apartments in Forestville, Maryland, but provide residents with easy access to downtown Washington, D.C. The residential apartment company offers prospective renters a variety of apartment styles.

The Tuscany and Pisa-style apartments are one-bedroom, one-bath units that are 700 square feet and 770 square feet, respectively. Verona also offers two-bedroom, one-bath apartments in the Rome and Milan styles, with the former being 860 square feet and the latter being 935 square feet. The Venice apartment style is a two-bedroom, two-bath 935-square-foot unit, and the Davinci apartment is a three-bedroom, one-bath 1,033-square-foot unit. Finally, the Colosseum and Siena are three-bedroom, two-bath units with square footage of 1,033 and 1,150, respectively.

Regardless of the style and size of the apartment, the Verona brand designed the apartment units keeping luxury and convenience in mind. The apartments come with refrigerators, dishwashers, ceiling fans, and air conditioning and are Internet and cable equipped. Units come with private patios and balconies, in addition to new windows that provide natural light and window coverings.

Community amenities include a laundry room, a swimming pool with a sun deck, and a community playground. Additionally, the apartment policy has pet-friendly policies in place for dogs and cats. The complex provides residents and their dogs with a community park where they can roam free. The apartment complex offers residents quality maintenance services. Residents experiencing issues with their apartments can access the complex’s on-site 24-hour maintenance service, including 24-hour emergency maintenance services. Regarding security and location, the complex has a night patrol and is accessible to shops and businesses in the area.

District Heights is a community-minded area, and most residents own their homes. There are many parks nearby, and families can access public (charter) and private schools. Moving to Verona at District Heights offers professionals and families the chance to enjoy life in a small town while having access to the numerous diversions that can be found in Washington, D.C.
